Jeff Burnett and I had an interested (and interesting) spectator at our shooting outing in the Tonto National Forest. I have no idea how I managed to avoid stepping on this fellow. What attracted my attention was sudden movement and when I saw him the big guy was a matter of inches from my right foot and had just finished coiling. In fact, it appeared that he was recoiling from a strike at my right ankle, except that I felt nothing.
