El Oso Road to the Mazatzal Divide Trail. This was the first real 4x4 outing for our new FJ Cruiser, "Ranger". The trail is easy in parts but elsewhere four wheel drive is definitely needed. The FJ climbed like a mountain goat and took the trail with no issues. Sorry, no pictures of the hairy parts of the trail as I was busy behind the wheel and Mary was hanging on and gritting her teeth. Pucker Factor (1-5): 3.8 in the worst spots.

The trail runs along the far ridge line with some snowy and icy stretches.

For some perspective, that's a pickup truck on El Oso road to the right.

This is the single decent shot I got on the trail in a fairly clear spot.
